Many people didn’t even notice the Instagram account go up, until Destiny Child’s official Twitter account wrote about it on Oct. 27. Obviously, fans were freaking out about the possibility of an upcoming reunion, with this giving an extra glimmer of hope. Even though the trio recently met up, Kelly revealed, “We haven’t talked anything about that,” telling E! News. “We’re just enjoying each other’s company and being loved and enjoying being women.” It has been nearly a decade since the group was officially together and their last self-titled album was released in 1998.
However, Kelly and Michelle did briefly take the stage for Beyoncé’s Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013. Millions of viewers tuned in for the performance and of course, the superstars wowed the crowd. Bey later gushed about the experience, saying, “It was a beautiful thing, to have my sisters left and right of me.” The girl group formed in 1997, with its best-known line-up putting out several huge hits like “Bootylicious,” “Survivor,” and “Soldier,” before calling it quits in 2009. We’ve totally got our fingers crossed for an epic jam or reunion in the future!
